Oprah Winfrey Falls on Stage After Tripping Over Her Shoes

February 29, 2020

Oprah Winfrey made a rare misstep on Saturday.

The media mogul found herself in a scary situation as she fell down while on stage at the Los Angeles stop of "Oprah’s 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus" speaking tour.

Winfrey was in the midst of discussing wellness and keeping things in balance when she lost hers.

“Wellness to me means all things in balance,” she said dressed in a flowing white pant suit.  “And balance doesn’t mean all things are equal or at peace at all times.”

At that moment, the 66-year-old’s shoes appeared to give, which caused her to lose her footing and sent her tumbling down to the floor hard.

The audience gasped as Oprah, who never let go of the microphone, slowly recovered and quickly assured everyone she was ok by saying, “wrong shoes!”

Afterwards, the Queen of all Media was seen back on her feet, sans the problematic shoes, and joking about the entire incident. “It’s nice to be talking about balance and fall,” she told the sold out crowd at the Los Angeles Forum.

Oprah’s longtime partner Stedman Graham was seated in the VIP section and ran to the stage to make sure she was ok, according to Hollywood Life.

Also reportedly in the audience were Oprah’s best friend Gayle King and Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland.

While Oprah’s mishap was not on the agenda, Jennifer Lopez was scheduled to be interviewed as part of the day’s program.

The tour previously feature an appearance by Lady Gaga, who opened up about her past traumas and mental health.
