The Contemporary Youth Orchestra has announced a one night only performance with Jason Mraz on June 8, 2019 at 7:00pm at Severance Hall. The organization has teamed with the multi Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter to produce his very first full-length performance with a live orchestra. The evening will feature hits and fan favorites from Mraz’s catalogue backed by the 115 piece Contemporary Youth Orchestra, led by Music Director Liza Grossman.

Jason Mraz’s message of positivity and philanthropy resonates deeply with his fans and with the young talent that makes up Contemporary Youth Orchestra. In the past, the orchestra has welcomed artists such as Kenny Loggins, Ben Folds, Bootsy Collins, Styx, and Melissa Etheridge.

Founded in 1995 by Music Director Liza Grossman, the award winning Contemporary Youth Orchestra is the only youth orchestra in the country dedicated to the study and performance of contemporary orchestral literature.

CYO has performed world premiere concertos with local musicians, including members of The Cleveland Orchestra, college and conservatory professors and nationally recognized musicians.
